today a friend of mine called me in facebook chat n she said like: hey, i read ur blog! n i was like: really? well, i didn't update it for a long time... n she said: why don't u keep updating? i love to read people's blog...
it's just a simple chat but it's the simple thing that touches me... she gave me spirit to keep on writing my blog. it was like: hey! someone is reading my blog!
okay maybe u might think i'm a little bit over-reacted. but for me, who's just starting my own blog, that feeling is wonderful... so, thank you friend... thanks to everyone who r reading my blog... :)
Mrs. Cold is the song that make me fall in love with Kings Of Convenience.
I know it’s a little bit too late, since it was the song from their third album, but I wasn’t a fan before.
Maybe because they’re kinda out of the mainstream, and their songs seldom played in Indonesia, so I kind of didn’t recognize their existence.
I heard Mrs. Cold not so long ago and… Can’t get this song out of my head! Since then, I’m officially a fan.
Love the uniqueness & honesty in their music. Really really great musicians. I can tell that they love what they do. At least I and lots people love what they do.
me preparing for the concert
some great moments in the concert... what a great show!
last friday i went out with my college pals. i wore my black top, jeans vest, and my super-comfy flipflops...oh and i brought my new agnes b bag. crazy for the color... it's pink with a little light green and sky blue in the handle. :)
we went to iniko toy's cafe, located in gunawarman, south jakarta. this cafe has a pretty unique concept. little bit like strawberry cafe in tanjung duren, west jakarta, u can order foods and play games. they have some supercool imported board games *but u have to be member to play them* they also have ps 1 and ps 2 plus nintendo wii... and u can play for free.... :D
the interior of the shop, well, just so-so for me. but the display of the toys and action figures kind of amazed me. some of them is very unique, very cool, and of course very expensive *fiuhhh* they also have misteries to solve hidden all over the place. if u can guess it right u can have a reward.
this was my 2nd time there. honestly, the 1st time for me was way more satisfying. i don't know why but the service was kind of disapointing and the food wasn't good enough as well. they may have a great concept for the cafe but service and food is too important to be neglected.
however i still love to hang out there again. i hope they can make it up for me next time... hahaa... :D
it's confirmed! i'm going to java jazz festival 2010. bought the ticket yesterday. thanks GOD i'm a student so i can get the special price. interested? check out java jazz festival for further information (if u are a student of course)...
why march 6th? one of the reason is endah n rhesa will be performing that day... i love them so much. their music is simple yet very beautiful. n their live performance is superb... n of course there'll be bunches of other talented jazz musicians
anyway c u there... :)

Happy belated Chinese New Year for those who celebrate it and also Happy V day!!
me myself celebrate the chinese new year so i kinda busy these past few days. i went to my relative's house, had a big family gathering and got some angpao... :D
what do i love the most about chine new year is we able to have a big big family gathering. i love that we can meet our relatives that we aren't able to see often. maybe just once a year. i love the ambience, i love the crowd, and i love my oh-so-little nieces and nephews.:)
i also love that there are a lot of delicious things to eat... hahaa..
.
i used to love angpao. but since i've grew up i'm not really hoping that i will get much of it. angpao is much more like a symbol that we can have prosperity and fortune in the future *for me*.
and i love..... the new clothes and shoes!
p.s. my friends told me that my flowery dress is kinda like a geek.
well i don't really care cause i feel like wearing whatever i want. :)
me n my mom baked cookies today. n i'm very very happy because i made like 70% of them n my mom only helped like 30%. so practically it's me making the cookies with my mom's help... :)
today i've just realized that baking cookies need a lot of time, a lot of dedication, and of course a lot of energy. salute to the baker! haha...
don't judge the cookies by the looks. i'm glad they taste really good *believe me!* my dad ate them right away after they came out from the oven. he ate a lot in a very short time. :D
the mess... :)
sorry for the quality, i'm using my blackberry
She is an American (Los Angeles) interior designer and she is fantastic!
She is pretty, stylish, and rich, but what made her fantastic is her design...
Her design is soooo unique and one of a kind.
What I love the most about her is she dare to design without borders, without limits. She mix lots of colors, and combining several styles from different times in one design.
I still scared to design a room full of bold color whether she never done anything in white walls. I adore her designs and learn from it.
I realize I must learn a lot to be a great interior designer (just like her or even more...hahaa)
This one IS amazing. Great casts. Great musics. Great performances. Great movie.
But it’s not the kind of movie that everybody would love to watch. A friend of mine told me that this movie is a crap. She watched it and she said it’s completely boring. Well maybe you should be a fan of musical movies to enjoy it. I didn’t feel boring at all. Such spectacular music performances from the amazing casts makes me craving for more. Honestly I did clap my hands.
Daniel Day-Lewis played his role as Maestro Guido Contini, a successful Italian movie director, whose last two movies was a flop, and a complicated man inside. I didn’t know who he was until I watched the movie. But now I can assure you he gave me an unforgettable impression. He made me love him, hate him, want to kick his ass, and feel pity for him at the same time. Daniel Day-Lewis IS a maestro...
My standing ovation for the acting (besides the main character) goes to Penelope Cruz, who played Carla, Guido’s mistress, and Marion Cotillard, who played his wife, Luisa Contini. Even though I didn’t like Penelope, Carla was wonderfully played by her. She acted as this bitchy woman very very very good. She is really into it.
And Marion, oh my oh my, I just loved her.. Haha.. I feel sorry for Luisa, for being a good (and stupid) wife of a jerk. She was deeply in love with this ungrateful husband. Her acting almost made me cry.
And for the musical performance nothing compare to Fergie’s. Not like the other actresses in this movie, her background is a singer. Maybe that’s why she is absolutely amazing. She sings like a pro, dances like a pro. I just can't take my eyes of her when I saw her performed. The stage and the dancers were unbelievably good as well.
Oh, but she looked awful in the movie (She used to look good). Maybe it’s because of her part. She played a whore from Guido’s past called Saraghina.
The other casts played their parts very well too. But Kate Hudson… ohh come on, why is it her face in the poster? Judi Dench played bigger role and acted much much more better than her. I think it must be because Kate is younger and prettier..
Btw Nicole Kidman is the one who looked most beautiful in this movie, compare to the other women...
